At Ferreira da Silva, we believe that the fruit sector needs more than suppliers: it needs trusted partners who ensure quality, consistency, and availability throughout the year.

This is the role we assume every day. With over 60 million euros in annual sales, we are today one of the leading distributors of fruit products in the Iberian Peninsula. We operate from a 20,000 m² warehouse, with capacity for 5,000 pallets, supported by 800 m² of offices and specialized teams that ensure efficiency across the entire operation.

Our presence in the wholesale markets of MARL (Lisbon) and MAC (Coimbra) allows us to stay close to customers and partners, responding quickly and reliably to the sector’s needs.

Our Journey

Over three decades of growth
with the fruit sector.

Ferreira da Silva, S.A. was founded on February 19, 1988, in Vale da Murta, Torres Vedras. The choice was no coincidence: the Oeste region is one of the country’s most important fruit-growing hubs, with a high density of retail trade and close proximity to leading producers and companies in the sector.

In 1993, the current partners acquired full ownership of the company, initiating a phase of expansion marked by investment in specialized human resources, new facilities, a company fleet, and technology. This investment allowed the company to consolidate its position in the domestic market and expand its horizons internationally.

In 2002, the transformation into a public limited company, with a share capital of €2,500,000, strengthened the company’s structure. In 2013, this amount was increased again to €3,000,000, confirming a trajectory of sustained growth and long-term vision.
