Nectarine

The nectarine (Prunus persica var. nucipersica, Rosceae family) is a smooth (hairless) peach variety.

It is a temperate climate plant produced in the South and Southeast of Brasil, especially in Rio Grande do Sul and São Paulo.

Thanks to agriculture and cattle raising research, it is now economically viable to produce it in subtropical regions. Chile and Argentina are big producers of this fruit. It is rich in vitamin A, niacin (vitamin B3) and potassium.
