Plantains

Plátanos in Spanish, “banana-pão” or “banana-da-terra” in Portuguese or plantains, in English, are eaten cooked (roasted, boiled or fried), being the basic food stuff of many populations in tropical regions.

Only 10 to 15% of world production is exported; the United States and the European Union are the main import powers.
