Watermelon

It is a creeping and annual plant with triangular leaves and small yellowish flowers, producing a rounded, elongated fruit with a red, sweet and juicy pulp, high water levels (about 90%) and a diameter variable from 25 to 75 cm.

Its peel is green and lustrous with dark green streaks lengthways.

Its composition, apart from high water levels, includes sugar, B complex vitamins and mineral salts, such as calcium, phosphorus and iron.
