Passion Fruit The tropical flavor that awakens the senses
Passion fruit is the fruit of the passion fruit vine (Passiflora edulis), belonging to the Passifloraceae family, and is native to the tropical and subtropical regions of the Americas. Today, it is commercially cultivated in Brazil, the Caribbean, and southern Florida, with Brazil being the world’s largest producer and consumer.
The fruit, round or oval in shape, ranges from yellow to dark purple when ripe and contains a large number of edible seeds surrounded by juicy, aromatic pulp. In addition to being delicious when eaten fresh, passion fruit is also widely used in juices, desserts, and gourmet products, combining freshness, intense flavor, and versatility.
